    The Hyundai i40 is a large family car designed primarily for the European market by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. Sharing its platform with the United States-marketed Hyundai Sonata, the i40 sedan was unveiled at the 2011 Barcelona Motor Show. In some markets, the Sonata remains on sale as a separate model, such as the United States, where the i40 is not available. The estate/wagon variant of the i40 was released in Europe and South Korea in September 2011, followed by the sedan variant in January 2012, and it is also available in Australia and New Zealand. For Malaysia, Hyundai launched the i40 at the 2013 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show, in both sedan and tourer specifications. It is placed above the Hyundai Sonata. The engine is the two litre GDI motor which is linked to a paddle shifted six speed automatic gearbox.

    The Hyundai Accent (), or Hyundai Verna (현대 베르나) in South Korea, is a subcompact car produced by Hyundai. In Australia, the first generation models carried over the Hyundai Excel name used by the Accent's predecessor. The Accent was replaced in 2000 by the Hyundai Verna in South Korea, although most international markets, including the US, retained the "Accent" name. The Accent is produced for the Chinese market by Beijing Hyundai Co., a joint venture with Beijing Automotive Industry Corp. For the Russian market it is assembled by the TagAZ plant in Taganrog. In Mexico, the Accent was marketed until 2014 by Chrysler as the Dodge Attitude, previously known as the Verna by Dodge. In Venezuela, Chrysler marketed these models as the Dodge Brisa until 2006. The Brisa was assembled by Mitsubishi Motors at its plant in Barcelona, Venezuela. Since 2002, the Accent had been the longest-running small family car sold in North America. In Puerto Rico, it has been sold as the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Brio too. In Russia, it is sold as the Hyundai Solaris. In 2008, Hyundai Accent was named the most dependable sub-compact car by J.D. Power and Associates.

    The Hyundai Sonata () is a mid-size car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 1985. The first generation Sonata, which was introduced in 1985, was a facelifted Hyundai Stellar with an engine upgrade, and was withdrawn from the market in two years due to poor customer reactions. While the original was only sold in South Korea, with limited exports to Canada and New Zealand, the second generation of 1988 was widely exported.
